Biography

At LSU (2009-10): Placed 28th in the 100 fly and 31st in the 50 free and 100 free at the SEC Championships… Won the 100 fly at New Orleans… Placed second in the 50 free at Florida Atlantic.

 

Background: A three-time Finnish Junior National Champion in the 100m freestyle and a Junior National short course record-holder in the 100m free… Also a two-time European National qualifier who placed 16th in the 50m free… Led his team, the Helsingtors Simsallkap, to five straight national titles.

 

Personal: Son of Pauli and Laura Hyvenen… Has a younger brother, Risto… Majoring in psychology… Born March 22, 1990.
