Biography

2015-16: Recorded season best times at the CCSA Championships in Athens, Ga. this past spring... Competed in the 200 free, 100 fly and 200 IM at the championships.... Posted a season best time of 1:47.56 in the 200 free, while touching in with a time of 53.31 in the 100 fly... Also had a season best time of 1:56.04 in the 200 IM.

2014-15: Set season best times at the CCSA Championships in the spring... He shaved ten seconds off his previous season best time in the 500 freestyle with a 4:53.75 at the championships... He posted a time of 53.74 in the 100 butterfly in Athens, four seconds better than the time he set earlier in the year... Also competing in the 200 butterfly at the CCSA Championships, he touched in at 1:59.73 in the event. 

2013-14: Set season-best times in the 200- (1:47.21), 500- (4:46.56), and 1,650-yd. freestyle (16:45.79) events at the CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. … Recorded his top time in the 100-yd. butterfly (57.18) in the season-opening meet at Rider on Oct. 12 and his best 200-yd. fly time (2:04.40) at East Carolina on Jan. 25… Achieved his top dual meet finish of second while competing in the 1,000-yd. free against Howard at the UMBC Aquatic Complex on Jan. 11.

Background: Won the Senior Distance Award at the New England Open Championships hosted by New England Swimming… Named a three-time Mid-Wachusett League All-Star… Selected as a Winter Sports All Star by the Worcester Telegram and Gazette… Won the 400m freestyle at the 2010 New England Open Championships.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Karen Durand… Has one younger sister, Kristen… Plans to study mechanical engineering… Born June 22, 1995.
