Biography

2010-11: Placed sixth in the 100-yard butterfly and seventh in the 100 yard backstroke and 200 fly at the America East Championships... Placed fifth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 100 back at the Patriot Invitational... Swam his best 100 fly (50.55) and 200 fly (1:53.37) at the conference meet.

  

2009-10: Placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly and seventh in the 100 fly at the America East Championships… Swam a career-best time in the 100 fly at the Terrapin Cup Last Chance Meet in 50.37, which is the 10th fastest time in UMBC history… Swam season-best times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.76) and 200 fly (1:52.49) at the conference meet.

 

2008-09: Finished fourth in the 200-yard butterfly, eighth in the 200-yard freestyle and ninth in the 100 fly at the America East Championships… Placed sixth in the 100 and 200 fly at the Patriot Invitational… Claimed a victory in the 100 fly in the season-opening meet against Bucknell… Swam season-best times in the 100 fly (50.56), 200 fly (1:52.38) and 200 free (1:42.69) at the America East Championships… 200 fly time is ninth on UMBC’s all-time top-10 list.

 

Background: Swam for Green Terror Aquatic Club in Westminster, Md.… Named to the Maryland All-State swim team in 2007 and 2008… A Junior National qualifier.

 

Personal: Son of Fran and Vicki Wolbert… Has an older sister, Grace… Majoring in biology... Born Oct. 16, 1989.
