2018 Indoor: Competed in the 3,000m and 5,000m runs during the indoor season… Had a strong start to the month of February with a career best time in the 5,000m run at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge with a time of 15:35.34… Followed that up with a season best 8:57.36 at the Penn State Tune-Up in the 3,000m.
2018 Outdoor: Ran in the 3,000m and 10,000m runs during the spring… Had a career best run at the Sam Howell Invite with a time of 31:10.10 in the 10,000m and a season best in the 3,000m at the Bucknell Team Challenge (8:53.47).
2016-17 Indoor: Did not compete
2017 Outdoor: Ran a career best 31:36.2 in the 10,000m during the 2017 Colonial Relays… Also participated in the 5000m with a season best 15:23.0 at the George Mason Spring Invitational.
2016 Outdoor: Ran in the 10,000m during the spring season with his best finish coming at the Colonial Relays with a time of 33:20.26.
2015-16 Indoor: Participated in distance events for the Retrievers during his first season in Baltimore... Ran in the mile and 5,000m with his best times coming at the mile at the Penn State Relays (4:53.49) and in the 5,000m at the Great Dane Classic (15:58.20).
Background: Competed in both cross country and track and field at Hereford High School… Named Boys’ Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the Hereford Harbingeras a senior… Helped lead the cross country team to three straight Maryland 3A State Championships during his tenure… A member of the Chess Club and National Technical Honor Society in high school.
Personal: Son of Joseph and Rae-lynn Kingeter… Chose UMBC over Maryland and Virginia Tech… Has two siblings; Karis and Amanda… Lists favorite movie as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and favorite book as Lord of the Rings… Plans on majoring in mechanical engineering.
