New York, N.Y. – The UMBC men's indoor track and field squad broke two school records this weekend at Columbia Universty's Dr. Sander Invitational, held at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory.
Marquis Miller continues to impress this winter. The senior won the 400 meters in a new program record time of 47.97. This is the top performance in the America East and ranks 73rd in the NCAA thus far this season.
Senior
Mark Unger placed fifth in the mile with a new school record time of 4:01.86. This finish is also good for the top time in the conference and is 75th in the country.
Sophomore
Tyler Edson took home the silver medal in the 800 meters with a time of 1:50.07, the second-fastest time in program history. It's also the top result in the America East and 26th best time in the NCAA this season. Freshman
Joseph Ensor turned in the ninth fastest time in the conference as he crossed the line in 1:54.30 in the same event.
Senior
Ethan Hart placed 12th in the Shot Put with an effort of 16.04 meters (52-07.50), and junior
Fred-Morgan Iheanacho placed 18th in the 200 meters (22.48).
UMBC's relay teams performed exceptionally well as the distance medley team, comprised of all freshmen, finished fourth in 10:03.78.

Grayson Ruffner made up the squad.
In addition, the 4 x 400 medley relay squad (Miller, Iheanacho, Febles,
Alin Raji) took seventh in 3:20.76.
