4x100m Relay Earns Gold on Final Day of Penn Relays

The 4x100m relay team took first place at the Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon as the lone Retriever men’s race contested. The team edged out America East rival Stony Brook in the race.

Philadelphia, Pa.-- The 4x100m relay team took first place at the Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon as the lone Retriever men's race contested. The team edged out America East rival Stony Brook in the race.

The quartet of Shavar Staats, Marquis Miller, Brian Nelson, and Glory Fagbuyi earned gold with a time of 41.22, just ahead of the Seawolves in second by .36 of a second.

UMBC will head to Burlington next weekend for the 2022 America East Championships on Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8.
