Philadelphia, Pa.-- UMBC men's track and field had a strong day on Friday at the historic Penn Relays. The 4x100m relay team qualified for Saturday's finals after a fourth place finish on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The quartet of Shavar Staats, Jayo Adegboyo, Brian Nelson, and Roger Wright finished qualifying in fourth place with a time of 42.02.
• The team of Michael Arnold, Marquis Miller, Adegboyo, and Nicolas Alphonse took 19th in the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:19.82.
• In the field, Ibrahim Khairat finished fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 14.69m. 
• Toren Burr rounded out the field with a 21st place finish in the javelin with his best toss coming at 55.35m.

UMBC will conclude the Penn Relays tomorrow, Saturday, April 30.
