Men’s Track and Field Has Strong Day at Towson Invitational

Towson, Md.-- Toren Burr led the way for the Retrievers on day one with a first place finish in the hammer throw. The Retrievers as a whole had a strong day as a handful of Retrievers competed on day one.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Burr was the lone Retriever winner on the men's side, taking first in the hammer throw with a toss of 55.10m. Thomas Hamby was just behind him at 44.09m in 11th.
Cameron Rice also had a strong result in the field taking ninth in the triple jump at 13.59m.
Michael Arnold and Nicolas Alphonse took third and seventh in the 400m hurdles with times of 54.73 and 56.55 respectively.
Shamar Barnes rounded out the field with his sixth place finish in the 100m finals in a time of 10.67.
