Hindle Wins 1,500m Invite on Final Day of Weems Baskin Invitational

Hindle led the Retrievers on the final day of the Weems Baskin Invitational on Saturday.

Columbia, S.C.— Cameron Hindle led the Retrievers on the final day of the Weems Baskin Invitational on Saturday. He was the lone Retriever to win an event on the men's side. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Hindle won the 1,500m invite with a time of 3:56.14. Joel Simpson was just behind him in seventh with a time of 4:00.47.
  • Sam Brosh led the way in the 800m taking second in a time of 1:56.77. Tyler Dregely was just behind him in fourth in a time of 1:57.76.
  • Shavar Staats and Nicolas Alphonse also had top finishes in the 100m invite (4th, 10.50) and the 400m hurdles (12th, 55.84).
  • Ibrahim Khairat led the field athletes with a fourth place finish in the triple jump with his best jump coming at 14.71m.

The Retrievers will continue the outdoor season next Friday and Saturday at the Towson Invitational.
