Hoffman Leads Retriever Track and Field at Maryland Invitational

UMBC men’s track and field kicked off the 2022 outdoor season with a select number of Retrievers competing at the Maryland Invitational on Saturday.

College Park, Md.-- UMBC men's track and field kicked off the 2022 outdoor season with a select number of Retrievers competing at the Maryland Invitational on Saturday. Ian Hoffman led the way with his seventh place finish in the 110m hurdles. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Hoffman led the Retrievers with his seventh place finish in the 110m hurdles in a time of 21.40.
  • Julian Vissering led a quartet of Retrievers in the 400m dash. Vissering finished tenth in a time of 51.82.
  • Just behind him was Anthony McKinize in 16th in 52.40 and David Livingstone in 17th in 52.52. Brian Nelson rounded out the quartet in 22nd in a time of 53.72.

The Retrievers will continue the outdoor season next weekend in South Carolina at the Weems Baskin Invitational. The meet will run Friday and Saturday, March 25-26 at the University of South Carolina.
