UMBC Track and Field Continues Season at ECAC/IC4A Championships this Weekend

Baltimore, Md.—UMBC track and field continues the indoor season at the ECAC/IC4A Championships at the BU Track and Tennis Center this Friday through Sunday. The Retrievers are coming off strong finishes at the America East Championships this past weekend.

Last Time Out (America East Championships):

Albany once again won the men's title, finishing ahead of UMass Lowell, Binghamton and UMBC. New Hampshire, Vermont, Stony Brook, Maine and Hartford rounded out the nine-team field.

On the women's side, The Great Danes took home first place, edging out Stony Brook and New Hampshire in second and third. Binghamton, UMass Lowell and Vermont were just ahead of UMBC in seventh. Maine and Hartford rounded out the field.

Urgy Eado (800m), the men's 4x400m relay (Jamal Cody, Erick Soetje, James Oakley III, and Darrius Oxley), women's 4x400m relay (Mercedes Tillman, Tori Johnson, Amani Wallace, Funmi Daramola) earned gold during the meet, with Johnson taking home Most Outstanding Rookie honors at the meet.
