2016 Outdoor: Helped the Retrievers win the 4x400m relay at the America East Championships in a school record time of 3:52.93... Ran in the 400m dash, setting a career best with a time of 56.44 at the championships... Competed in the 800m at the Colonial Relays, recording a season best time of 2:29.18.

2015-16 Indoor: Was a part of the silver medal winning 4x400m relay team who crossed the tape in a time of 3:52.64... Also ran the 400m dash at the America East Indoor Championships, finishing in a time of 58.14... Ran a season best in the 800m at the Great Dane Classic (2:27.83) and in the 200m at the Fastrack National Invite (25.86).

2015 Outdoor: Competed in the 200m dash for the Retrievers in the spring season... Recorded her best time in the event at the America East Championships in the preliminaries... She placed 15th with a time of 25.36.

2014-15 Indoor: Competed in sprint events for the Retrievers in her first season... Started the season at the Bison Opener with a time of 1:19.63, her best of the year in the 500m dash... At the America East Championships, she advanced to the finals of the 400m dash, where she finished fourth with a time of 57.80... She set her best time of the year in the event in the prelims with a time of 57.04... Also recorded a season best at the championships, recording a time of 25.44 in the 200m dash. 

Background: She earned the school MVP award three years at Paint Branch High School… Also earned the Rising Star, Sportsmanship, Most Dedicated Athlete and Panther Award throughout her time in high school… Was a state champion in the 500m (indoor), 4x400 and 4x200m… In outdoor competition, she finished third in the 200m, and second in the 400, 4x200, and 4x400m… Funmi was involved in SGA, Psych Club, and Honor Roll in high school.
