UMBC Track and Field Heads to Vermont for 2014 America East Outdoor ChampionshipsBALTIMORE – As the calendar turns to May, the UMBC track and field team enters the championship portion of its season, beginning with the America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. The two-day meet at the University of Vermont’s Frank H. Livak Track and Field Facility begins on Saturday, May 3 and runs through the afternoon on Sunday.
Elite Retriever Athletes Head to Prestigious Penn Relays in PhiladelphiaBALTIMORE – Looking to improve season-bests in attempt to reach the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla., elite Retriever athletes will head to Philadelphia for the prestigious Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania. The three-day meet at Franklin Field will begin on Thursday, April 24 and run through Saturday evening in the City of Brotherly Love.
Track and Field Heading South to Compete at Pepsi Florida Relays and Colonial RelaysBALTIMORE – After hosting a rain-shortened Big Dawg Invitational last weekend at UMBC Stadium, the Retriever track and field program heads south on I-95 to compete at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. and the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va. Both meets will run from Friday, April 4 through the evening of Saturday, April 5.
UMBC Track and Field Hosts Big Dawg Invitational on SaturdayBALTIMORE – For the second consecutive season, the UMBC track and field team will host the Big Dawg Invitational at UMBC Stadium. The meet will kick-off on Saturday, March 29 with the hammer throw competition at 10:00 a.m., adjacent to the UMBC Softball Stadium. The first event on the track will be the 3,000m steeplechase which is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
