2014 Outdoor: Advanced to the finals of the 400m hurdles, placing sixth overall, at the 2014 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Vermont… Clocked a career-best time of 1:02.87 in the event at the Morgan State Legacy Meet to grab the fourth spot in the UMBC record book… Placed second in the hurdle event on her home track at the Big Dawg Invitational at UMBC Stadium… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

2013-14 Indoor: Competed in the 200m dash and 400m run at the 2014 America East Indoor Track and Field Championships, advancing to the finals for the 400m event… Placed third in the prelims with a top season time of 56.87, and then finished seventh overall in the finals with a time of 58.76… The prelims time ranks as the fifth-fastest in UMBC program history… Also competed in the 60m hurdles during the winter season, clocking a top season time of 9.60 at the Terrapin Invitational. 

2013 Outdoor: Placed 12th in the 400m dash and 16th in the 200m dash at the 2013 America East Outdoor Championships… Recorded her top 400m time of 58.57 at the conference meet at Binghamton… Helped UMBC win a silver medal in the 4x100 relay at the America East meet.

2012-13 Indoor: Competed in the 200m, 400m, and 500m events during the season for the Retrievers… Also ran in the 4x400 relay for UMBC at the Penn State Relays.

2012 Outdoor: Helped both the 4x100m (46.47) and 4x200m (1:38.04) relay teams break school records... Part of the 4x100m relay team which won the America East Outdoor crown... Finished sixth in the 200m dash and 13th in the 400m dash at the conference meet in Maine... Recorded a season-best time of 57.52 in the 400m at the Duke Invitational.

2011-12 Indoor: Helped the 4x200m relay team break the school record with a time of 1:41.38 at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York... Finished seventh in the 200m dash at the America East Indoor Championships with a season-best time of 25.28... Placed eighth in the 400m dash at the conference meet in Boston with a personal-best time of 57.79 to move into sixth all-time in UMBC's record book.

Background: Named to the All-County First Team for 200m and 300m hurdles in 2011... Named to the All-County Second Team... Team won the WCAC Championships all four years... Received the four-year Varisty award.

Personal: Daughter of Melvin and Yvette Young... Has two sisters, Shannell and Candice... Majoring in media and communication studies... Born July 16, 1993.
