Women’s soccer’s Jessy Brown earned her first America East Player of the Week honor of the season, as announced by the league office on Monday. The Retrievers jump right back into action on Tuesday, Sept 23 when they host American at 7 p.m. at Retriever Soccer Park.

Women’s soccer’s senior midfielder Jessy Brown posted her first multiple-goal game and finished with five points to help propel the Retrievers past Delaware State, 4-0, in non-conference action on Friday night at Retriever Soccer Park.

UMBC women’s soccer’s junior goalkeeper Jen Nance registered a career-high 10 saves, but it was not enough to stop Towson from a 2-0 victory in the final game of the Battle of Baltimore on Sunday afternoon at Tiger Soccer Complex.

The UMBC women’s soccer team looks to build off Friday’s 6-0 victory when it travels to Towson on Sunday, Sept. 14 to take on the Tigers in the final game of the Battle of Baltimore. The Retrievers look to take the crown in the 2:30 p.m. contest.

Women’s Soccer’s Offensive Explosion Downs Mount St. Mary’s, 6-0
UMBC women’s soccer’s exploded for six goals in game one of the Battle of Baltimore on Friday evening at Ridley Athletic Complex. Senior midfielder Lilly Rydon led the charge with her first collegiate multiple-goal game, including the game-winner, in the 6-0 victory against Mount St. Mary’s.

Women’s Soccer Opens Battle of Baltimore Against Mount St. Mary’s
The UMBC women’s soccer team opens the Battle of Baltimore weekend tournament on Friday, Sept. 12 when it travels to Loyola (Md.) for a neutral site contest against Mount St. Mary’s. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at Ridley Athletic Complex and is followed by game two, Loyola versus Towson.

The UMBC women’s soccer team fell in a hard fought 1-0 loss to St. Joseph’s on Friday. UMBC had some chances late, but could not find the net. The Retrievers fall to 4-1 on the year, while the Hawks improve to 2-3.
