2011: Started in 12 of the final 13 games of the season… Tallied a career-high nine shots, placed four on goal… Picked up an assist on UMBC’s only goal versus Towson … Missed on a penalty kick opportunity – the first of her career – at Temple… Earned a spot on the America East All-Academic Team… Recognized on the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll... A member of the National College Athlete Honor Society.

2009: One of five Retrievers to start all 17 games… Tied for the team lead with two assists and ranked third with four points… Recorded her first career point, an assist, in UMBC’s 1-1 tie against George Washington… Scored the game-winner against Delaware State for her first career goal… Earned the assist on the first goal of the game against Vermont… Took three shots on the season, including one on goal… Was recognized on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

Background: Red-shirted her true freshman season at the University of South Florida, where she was coached by UMBC Hall of Famer Denise Schilte… Played every minute of every game during her high school career… Tallied 17 goals and 22 assists in high school… Two-time All-District and Washington Post All-Met defender… Earned Second-Team All-Region honors as a senior… Two-time team captain… Received the Dulles District Scholar-Athlete Award all four years of high school… Named team MVP as a junior… Scored first-ever goal in Freedom High School history… Tabbed the Eagles’ Athlete of the Year as a senior… Also earned the Loudoun County Soccer Athlete of the Year Scholarship as a senior… Member of the district and state ODP teams… Was a club teammate of former Retriever LeAnne Edgar and led the McLean Washington Freedom to regional and national championships in 2007… An honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society… Daughter of Rudy Gazarek and Sherril Gazarek… Father played soccer at the University of Victoria in Canada… Has an older brother, Rudy, two younger step-brothers, Joey and Sal, and a younger step-sister, Lisa… Born Aug. 3, 1990… A psychology major… Hopes to pursue a career as a personal trainer.
