BALTIMORE – The UMBC men's tennis team extended its winning streak to six straight with a comfortable 6-0 victory over UMES at the UMBC Tennis Complex at March 8. The Retrievers improved to 8-3 on the season.

Only three matches took place, as the Hawks defaulted at Nos. 3,4, and 5 singles.

At No. 1 singles, freshman Kevin Hsieh (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) defeated Elame, 6-1, 6-1 in his first decision of the spring. Junior Eric Jarkowski (Baltimore, Md./Poly) also made a successful 2014 debut in a starting position as he blanked Heath, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.
