Fox Soccer Channel to Broadcast UMBC Men's Match vs. Boston University from UMBC Stadium on Oct. 15

The UMBC men's soccer program will be featured in prime time on the Fox Soccer Channel as part of the sixth season of the NSCAA College Game of the Week.

UMBC will play host to one of 12 men's games that the network will televise in 2010. The Retrievers entertain national power and America East Conference rival Boston University on Friday, Oct. 15 at UMBC Stadium. Kick-off time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

"We are honored and pleased to be selected to host this prestigious event," head coach Pete Caringi said. "We are expecting a big crowd and know that the Baltimore community will support this first game broadcast by Fox Soccer Channel within the metro area."

The game between the Retrievers and Terriers will be a featured attraction of the university's Homecoming '10 festivities. Basketball's "Midnight Madness" celebration follows the soccer match at the RAC Arena.

The series between UMBC and Boston U. is squared at 3-3-1. The Retrievers won in Boston, 2-1, last season.
