Baltimore, Md.—UMBC baseball will take their two-game win streak into a pair of midweek contests at Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday and Coppin State on Wednesday. The Retrievers are fresh off a series win against Hartford to open America East play this past weekend and sit at 5-10, 2-1 AE on the year.

Scouting the Retrievers:
-The Retrievers enter the midweek at 5-10 after taking two of three from Hartford this past weekend. UMBC used a big offensive day on Sunday to take the rubber match, as the two split a double header on Saturday.
-Matt Campbell (Chesapeake, Va.) leads the team at the plate batting .258 3ith eight hits and five runs scored. AJ Wright (Cherry Hill, N.J.) leads the team in a number of offensive categories including hits (13), doubles (4), and RBI (9).
-On the hill, Chase Bailey (Fairfax, Va.) leads the rotation with a 4.22 ERA, going 1-2 in four starts. He has thrown the most innings at 21.1. Stephen Schoch (Laurel, Md./Appalachian State) leads the bullpen with a 0.87 ERA, with four saves in eight appearances. He has surrendered just ten hits in 20.2 innings, striking out 30 batters
Scouting the Mountaineers:
-Mount St. Mary's enters the week at 3-10, having lost their last five games dating back to the first time the two met on March 9. Most recently the Mountaineers were swept at Davidson this weekend.
-Thomas Stavastio leads the Mountaineers at the plate with a .313 batting average having played in every contest. His 15 hits lead the team. Vaughn Parker has driven in a team high 15 runs, with three doubles and two home runs.
-On the mound, Trey McGough leads the rotation with a 2.95 ERA in three starts. He has one of the three Mount wins, throwing a complete game. He leads the team in innings pitched (18.1) and strikeouts with 15.
Scouting the Eagles:
-Coppin State sits at 3-12-1 on the year, most recently taking two of three from MEAC rival Eastern Shore this weekend. This will be the first home game for the Eagles in 2018.
-The Eagles have a trio of batters hitting over .300 led by Erik Crossman at .371. Nazier McIlwain leads the team in almost every offensive category, with 18 hits, three doubles and 13 RBI.
-Quinn Gleed leads the pitching staff with a 2.63 ERA in six appearances and four starts. He has thrown 24.0 innings giving up seven earned runs. Jahmon Taylor leads the staff in strikeouts with 25.
-UMBC and Mount St. Mary's will be meeting for the 95th time in the all-time series with UMBC leading 71-22-1. The Retrievers took care of the Mountaineers just weeks ago in a 9-7 victory. UMBC has now won the last three against the Mount.
-The Retrievers and Eagles will be meeting for the 49th time with UMBC holding a commanding 46-2 record. The Eagles got the better of the Retrievers last year with a 10-4 win at Alumni Field. However, UMBC has never lost to the Eagles on the road all-times
-UMBC will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. To take on Florida Gulf Coast Friday through Sunday, March 23-25.
