Danbury, Conn.—UMBC baseball senior Kevin Lachance (Clifton, Va./Centreville) and junior Hunter Dolshun (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) were named All-ECAC Second Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. The ECAC (Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference) has over 300 members between Divisions I through III, all of which are located on the east coast of the United States. UMBC finished the season at 28-23, 13-10 AE.
Dolshun finished the year with a .346 average with a team best 13 home runs, including six over his last four games of the regular season. The New York native added 47 RBIs with 60 hits and 36 runs scored in his best season as a Retriever, adding America East All-Conference First Team honors.
Lachance adds to a storied career in the black and gold, as he was also named to the America East All-Conference First Team in May. Lachance is the program leader in stolen bases in a single season, as well as a career. He finished his final campaign with a .373 average with team bests with 204 at bats, 76 hits, 50 runs scored and 28 stolen bases.
