Senior Trae Proctor reset his own UMBC school record in the 110m hurdles while competing for the Retrievers at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. The Brandywine, Md. native crossed the line with a time of 14.05 to slip past his old mark of 14.12 which he set last spring at the Mason Spring Invitational in Fairfax, Va. Proctor finished 19th out of 50 competitors in a national field at the meet in the Sunshine State this weekend.
Proctor currently leads the America East in the event with his time from Gainesville. The senior is a two-time America East gold medalist in the 110m hurdles, while also owning three golds in the 60m indoor hurdle event. He also holds the top mark in the indoor event with a personal-best time of 7.87.
